The City of Las Cruces Economic Development Department invites residents, businesses, property owners, and community members to participate in the first public meeting for the Apodaca & Lift Up Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan.
The public meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Booker T. Washington Community School.
The City is working with the community to develop a plan that identifies opportunities for revitalization, reinvestment, and improvements within the Apodaca & Lift Up MRA. Community input will help identify priorities and guide future strategies related to housing, infrastructure, public safety, economic development, quality of life, and other neighborhood needs.
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the project team, learn about the MRA planning process, and share their experiences, concerns, and ideas for the area.
The event will also include a community resource fair. Local organizations and community partners will be available to connect residents and families with information, programs, services, and other resources.
Community members who are unable to attend the public meeting can still participate in the planning process by completing the Apodaca & Lift Up MRA Public Survey. The survey will remain open through Dec. 31, 2026.
For additional information and to complete the public survey, visit the Apodaca & Lift Up MRA webpage at: Apodaca & Lift Up Area MRA.
