Music in the Park
Our beloved “Music in the Park” series is a vibrant celebration of rhythm, melody, and togetherness, set against the backdrop of our city’s beautiful outdoor spaces!
Throughout the summer months, we invite you to immerse yourself in the captivating tunes and diverse rhythms that make Music in the Park a must-attend event for families, friends, and music enthusiasts of all ages. Each gathering promises a unique experience, boasting an array of musical genres, from soulful jazz to foot-tapping blues, from the energy of rock to the infectious beats of Latin sounds.
These events are more than just music; they are a community affair. Bring your blankets, picnic baskets, and lawn chairs and settle in for an evening filled with live performances by talented local artists, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and entertaining. Children will have their own space to enjoy, with activities and games ensuring that the entire family can revel in the festivities.
The Music in the Park Series will be at 7 p.m. each Sunday from June 2 through August 25 at Young Park, 1905 E. Nevada Ave. Thursday Night Music on thePlaza concerts will begin at 7 p.m. on July 18, August 15, and August 29 at Plaza de Las Cruces.

Movies in the Park
Welcome Movie Lovers!
Come enjoy free movies with Parks & Recreation! The Movies in the Park series typically starts in June and continues through September.
Showtimes begin at dusk Young Park, 1905 E. Nevada Ave
Movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. Food vendors are often available at the event, providing a variety of snacks and refreshments for purchase.

Neighborhood Dumpster Day
Join us for a community cleanup event hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful Program (KLCB).
The next Neighborhood Dumpster Day is August 10.
What to Expect?
- KLCB will provide open-top trash containers for FREE.
- Dispose of yard waste, household trash, and other permissible items.
- KLCB staff will be available to assist, provide program information, and guide users on acceptable items.
Items NOT Allowed?
- Medical waste
- Hot ashes or coals
- Tires or vehicle parts
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Large yard waste items (stumps, trunks)
- Concrete, bricks, rocks
- Toxic, combustible, or hazardous materials
- Toilets or sinks
- Refrigerators or items with refrigerant
- Animal carcasses
Summer Community Concert

Join us for a lively evening at the Plaza de Las Cruces for our Summer Community Concert, hosted by the City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department. This FREE, family-friendly event will feature a diverse lineup of musical performances:
- Angelica Padilla – Delight in the vibrant sounds of Mariachi.
- Illusion Band – Enjoy a mix of various genres with their dynamic variety performance.
- Cuarenta y Cinco – Experience the rich tradition of New Mexico music with a blend of rancheras, cumbias, valses, boleros, country/western, oldies, and modern rock.
Food trucks will be on-site offering a range of tasty options, so come hungry and ready to enjoy a night of great music and delicious food. Bring your family and friends for a memorable evening of community and entertainment!
