Media Invited to Meerscheidt Renovation Ribbon Cutting

The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department invites the public and media to the Meerscheidt Renovation Ribbon Cutting.

The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the newly renovated Meerscheidt Recreation, 1600 E. Hadley Avenue.

Invited speakers include: Las Cruces Mayor Eric Enriquez and District 1 Councilor Cassie McClure, with proclamations presented by the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce and the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

After months of work, the renovations will create a more welcoming and versatile space for everyone—making it easier to host tournaments, enhancing rooms used for camps and programs, and giving families a larger, more comfortable area to gather between games and matches.
