We Are LCPD
The Las Cruces Police Department is staffed by a motivated group of professional officers and civilian personnel who are committed to helping keep our city a safe place to live, work and visit.
Jeremy Story serves as Chief of Police and oversees LCPD’s budgeted staff of 220 commissioned law enforcement officers and approximately 117 civilian personnel. The department services a city with a population of about 115,000 residents. In each of the last couple of years, officers have responded to roughly 410 calls for service each day – or about 150,000 per year.
