PFLAG Las Cruces and the Las Cruces Public Libraries are screening an award-winning film Wednesday Oct. 2, at the Rio Grande Theatre.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, and the film starts at 6 p.m. The 2005 film is Rated PG-13.

The Public Libraries online calendar includes the movie title and other details of the film.

In the film, a drag queen helps a man who inherits his father’s shoe factory. He needs to diversify his products if he wants to keep his business going. The movie stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Joel Edgerton and Sarah-Jane Potts.

The movie was nominated for multiple British Independent Film Awards, a Golden Globe, a London Critics Circle Film Award, a Black Reel Award and a Black Movie Award. The film won an Audience Award for Best International Feature at the Florida Film Festival.
