Community Outreach to Work with Local Businesses Thursday

The Las Cruces Police Department’s Community Outreach unit will help tackle some of the issues plaguing local businesses during a six-hour operation planned for Thursday.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, Community Outreach will be working with Las Cruces businesses to ease or help eradicate some of the problems they may be experiencing.

Some of the issues include vandalism, trespassing, squatting, soliciting, aggressive panhandling, criminal damage to property and abandoned shopping carts to name a few.

Business owners or managers who are experiencing any of these problems – or other issues that could benefit from some attention – are encouraged to email the Community Outreach unit at [email protected] before 9 a.m. Thursday, March 13.
