The City of Las Cruces will host its Annual Capital Outlay Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 11, 2026, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 700 N. Main St.

The workshop is designed to help organizations, community groups, and stakeholders better understand funding opportunities available through New Mexico’s capital outlay process. Attendees will receive information on the fundamentals of capital outlay, the Capital Improvements Program (CIP), the fiscal agent process, and the Government Results and Opportunity (GRO) Program.

Guest speakers will include New Mexico State Senator Carrie Hamblen, New Mexico State Representative Angelica Rubio, New Mexico State Lobbyist Brian Miller, and South Central Council of Governments Executive Director Jay Armijo. Presenters will share information and resources to assist organizations seeking funding for infrastructure projects.

The workshop is free and open to the public.
