A fire damaged a commercial building at Friday morning.
At 5:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, Las Cruces firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 675 Avenida de Mesilla. Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the commercial building.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within minutes and keep it from extending throughout the building.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
The cause of the fire and damage estimates are still unknown.
