The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department is kicking off the most wonderful time of the year at our Annual Tree Lighting Celebration & Holiday Night Market from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, at Plaza de Las Cruces in Downtown Las Cruces!

Bring the whole family for an evening filled with holiday cheer, festive music, delicious food from vendors, and a Holiday Night Market featuring local craft vendors offering unique gifts and seasonal treasures.

New this year is our Kids Holiday Passport! Children can visit participating City department booths, enjoy fun and interactive activities, and collect a stamp at each stop. Once their passport is complete, they can visit the Parks & Recreation tent to claim a special holiday prize (while supplies last)!

Santa Claus is also making a special stop in Las Cruces, so bring your holiday smiles and cameras for a memorable photo opportunity! Check out the Parks & Recreation page on Facebook for a chance to have a VIP Meet & Greet with Santa. Enjoy live music and festive entertainment throughout the evening as we count down to the magical moment when the Mayor and Ziggy light the Christmas Tree at 7 p.m.!

The holiday fun doesn’t end there! Following the celebration, head over to the Rio Grande Theatre for a special 8 p.m. showing of the holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street.

Gather your family and friends, bundle up, and join us for a night of holiday memories, community spirit, and holiday magic!
