In anticipation of icy roadways caused by the overnight cold temperatures, the City of Las Cruces non-emergency operations will have a delayed start by two-hours on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026.
All City facilities that are not designated as warming stations will open at 10 a.m.
Warming stations provided by the City will continue through Wednesday, Jan. 29. Hours of operation for the warming stations will be:
- Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Avenue
- 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday
- 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday & Saturday
- 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday
- Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Avenue
- 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday – Friday
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
- Frank O’Brien Papen Center, 304 Bell Avenue
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday
- Munson Senior Center, 975 S. Mesquite Street
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday
- Sage Café, 6121 Reynolds Drive
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday
- Benavidez Center, 1045 McClure Road
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday
Emergency services, such as police and fire, will not be affected and Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch, the 911 call center, will remain operational. Roadrunner Transit will maintain their regular schedule.
