Water Outage Planned for Bristol Area

A water line replacement project will cause a temporary loss of water Thursday for residents along Bristol Avenue and Bristol Court.

The temporary loss of water is anticipated between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Residences near Bristol Avenue and Bristol Court may also be affected by the water outage. Crews will post notice of the water outages on doors of homes where water will be turned off.

Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the city recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water is clear. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all cold-water faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities Dispatch at (575) 526-0500 for assistance.
