Water Manhole

Madero Road and Parker Road residents, on Madero Road, will experience a water outage from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug.13, 2024.

This outage will enable the City of Las Cruces Water Department/MVH to replace two main line water valves at the intersection of Sixth Street and Madero Road, and at the intersection of Sixth Street and Parker Road.

Adjacent areas also may be affected by this outage. Sixth Street, Madero Road, and Parker Road are in District 4 of Las Cruces, Representative Johana Bencomo’s District.

Residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their house for five minutes.

If the discoloration remains, call the city at 575/526-0500 for assistance. The TTY phone number is 575/541-2182.
