The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit issued 41 citations during a one-hour enforcement operation held Thursday morning along Lohman Avenue.
The 41 citations included 14 for having no proof of vehicle registration, nine for speeding and eight for operating a vehicle without proof of insurance.
Other citations were for driving a vehicle with illegal tint, having an illegible license plate and for other miscellaneous traffic offenses.
The traffic enforcement operation began about 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026. LCPD will likely hold similar traffic enforcement operations in the coming weeks.
