The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department is offering registration for the fall semester Teen Recreation Program. There is no cost to participate but limited spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Program start date is Monday, July 27, 2026, at two locations:
Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center – 304 W. Bell Avenue
East Mesa Recreation Center – 5589 Porter Drive

Program Hours:
Monday–Friday, 3:30-7:30 p.m. when school is in session or otherwise noted.

Teen Connection provides a social setting, academic assistance, a nutritional component in partnership with Families and Youth Innovations Plus, recreational and creative activities, guest speakers, and age-appropriate enrichment opportunities in a safe and supportive environment. Special events will be held throughout the school year to provide all youth in the community with opportunities to participate. Some events may require a participation fee.

Parent/Guardian Responsibility:
Pick up from the program is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
  • A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St., noon to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
