Las Cruces firefighters extinguished to a fire on the 3900 block of Crystal Place Tuesday afternoon.
About 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, Las Cruces firefighters responded to the report of a residential structure fire on Crystal Place. First-arriving crews found fire on the back porch that had extended into the attic.
Firefighters controlled the fire and searched the home within 20 minutes, rescuing two cats during the search. At least two residents and their pets were displaced from the home.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury at the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
