Las Cruces Public Libraries is hosting a Miles Morales Spider-verse Movie Marathon June 7 at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library.

The movie marathon begins at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the Kiva Room at Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave. on Roadrunner Transit Route 1.

The library’s Summer Reading Program theme this year is Color Our World, or Colorea Nuestro Mundo. In honor of that theme, the library has chosen a set of movies where the world is literally colored. Movie-goers are invited to travel the bright and colorful Spider-verse world of Miles Morales.

The marathon begins at 10:45 a.m. with the first movie introducing Miles and his family. After a break from 1-2:30 p.m. for the Summer Reading Program kickoff in the Roadrunner Room with Bluey and Therapaws, the second movie will begin at 2:45 p.m. and will take movie-goers across the multiverse with Miles and all the other Spider-People.

As always, this movie series is free and open to the public. Movie-goers are welcome to bring light snacks. For movie titles check out the library’s online calendar of events.

Upcoming First Saturday Movie Marathons: in July we’ll see the colors of emotions; in August we’ll go time traveling to the past and return to the future once again; and, in September, we’ll have three movies based on game characters that we’re calling Two Hedgehogs and a Mouse.

For more information contact Deanna Duffy, Librarian, at (575) 528-4005 or by email at [email protected].

Those who require special accommodations for a disability to participate in this event are encouraged to call the library at (575) 528-4102, TTY 771, at least 48 hours in advance.
