Lemonade in jug and cups

The Las Cruces Police Department’s Community Outreach Team is inviting residents to participate in its Lunchbox Lemonade series which begin on June 7, 2024, at an area splash pad.

The Lunchbox Lemonade series encourages Las Cruces residents of all ages to have lunch, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the Community Outreach Team at an area splash pad. Participants can visit with team members, discuss police matters and share their concerns about public safety.

The first Lunchbox Lemonade will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the splash pad on Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sack lunch. LCPD will provide free popsicles and cool lemonade courtesy of a community partnership with Raising Cane’s restaurant.

The remaining Lunchbox Lemonade series sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at various splash pads throughout Las Cruces, including:

  • Aug 9, Metro Verde Splash Pad, 7125 Metro Park St.
  • Aug 23, Unidad Park Splash Pad, 1501 E. Hadley Ave.
