The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will host a free family event, a Mother’s Day Concert, at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main Street.

Grupo Éxito was formed by Johnny Vasquez in 1992. The El Paso band quickly gained traction and were sponsored in 1994 by Miller Light to be opening act for Grupo Mazz. They have won countless awards and have since opened for La Mafia, Rubén Ramos, Fandango USA, Elida y Avante and many, many more Tejano legends in New Mexico and Texas.

Karlos Saucedo is a Las Cruces Native. He has been nominated for Best New Male Artist at the Tejano Music Awards and has been on radio around the world. He has opened shows for Bobby Pulido, Little Joe y La Familia, Los Kumbia Kings and is currently working on a new album.

Karlos y Grupo Éxito joined forces in January of 2025 and have been making waves in the Tejano scene the past year that they’ve been together. Enjoy the classic Tejano sounds of Karlos y Grupo Éxito.

Join us in celebrating with all the great mothers in our community with live music and dancing! Bring your mom, bring the family, and bring your chairs. Food trucks will be at the Plaza.

This free community concert is the start of the City’s live music season which continues with the Mayor’s Jazz Fest on May 24, kicking off the Parks & Recreation Department’s Music in the Park Series. The popular Music in the Park Series will feature performances by local and regional acts every Sunday beginning Memorial Day weekend and continuing through August. Artists and locations will be announced soon.

For more information, contact Community Events at 575-541-2101/TTY 711.
