Fireworks exploding in the sky.

The City of Las Cruces is proud to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with its annual Fourth of July Celebration, a free two-day community event filled with patriotism, entertainment, family fun, and fireworks.

The celebration begins Friday, July 3, with the Electric 5K and One-Mile Fun Run, followed by the Electric Light Parade. The run begins and ends at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, with a turn-around at Apodaca Park. This year’s Electric Light Parade theme, “Stars, Stripes & City Lights,” celebrates community pride and America’s 250th Anniversary.

The City of Las Cruces and New Mexico State University (NMSU) are once again teaming up to host the annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Celebration at Pat and Lou Sisbarro Community Park on the NMSU campus.

The evening entertainment opening act will be Triple Jack, followed by headliner 49 Winchester. The annual fireworks display will begin immediately following the concert.

Pat and Lou Sisbarro Community Park provides easy access, traffic flow, expanded parking, and accommodations for the large audience that attends this free, family-friendly community celebration.
