Fire Damages Home on Jasper Drive

Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a residential structure fire on Jasper Drive Saturday Morning.

Just after 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, firefighters responded to a report of a residential structure fire on the 300 block of Jasper Drive.

The first arriving unit encountered a single-wide mobile home with moderate smoke showing from the rear of the structure. Firefighters quickly entered the residence to conduct a primary search and initiate fire suppression efforts. The fire was successfully brought under control within nine minutes of the first crew’s arrival.

One occupant was treated at the scene and transported to a local emergency room for further medical evaluation.

No firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
