Las Cruces Firefighters extinguished a fire in an apartment complex on W. Picacho Avenue.
At 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 3, Las Cruces firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 1800 block of W. Picacho Avenue.
The initial arriving crew found a single-story apartment building with fire coming from one of the apartments. Crews were able to bring the fire under control within ten minutes. The adjoining apartments had minor smoke damage. Four occupants of the building were displaced. The cause of fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
