A plaque award for Traffic Management

The City of Las Cruces Traffic Management Program team is recognized for its signal maintenance operations and field staff along with others in the state by the Intelligent Transportation Society of New Mexico. The ITSNM held its annual meeting Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in Albuquerque. This year’s theme was ‘Investing in Safety.’

ITSNM advocates for technologies that improve safety, security and efficiency of New Mexico’s surface transportation system. The organization presented City staff with the ITS Champion Award for outstanding dedication and commitment to the ITS industry. This year, the award was given to all of the ITS and Signal Maintenance operations and field staff around the state – including Las Cruces.
