The City of Las Cruces will hold a Celebration of Service for Fire Station 3 at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Fire Station 3 was built in 1968 and provided service to the west side of Las Cruces until a new station was built with GO Bond funding in 2022.

As part of this Celebration of Service, there will be a groundbreaking for a new Mobile Integrated Health building where both the MIH and LIGHT (Lessening Instance of Grief Harm & Trauma) teams will be located.

Featured speakers will include Mayor Eric Enriquez, District 4 City Councilor Johana Bencomo, Fire Chief Michael Daniels, and other key partners in the project.

The event is open to the public and will be streamed on the City’s YouTube Channel.
