The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit issued 54 citations during a one-hour enforcement operation held Thursday morning along a portion of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard.
The 54 citations included 27 for speeding, 15 for having no vehicle registration and six for driving without proof of insurance.
Other citations were for driving without a license and failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.
The traffic enforcement operation began about 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, on Sonoma Ranch Boulevard between Golf Club Road and Camino Coyote. LCPD will likely hold similar traffic enforcement operations in the coming weeks.
