The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit issued 27 citations Thursday during a one-hour enforcement operation on Red Hawk Golf Road.
The 27 citations included 14 for motorists exceeding the posted speed limit, six for drivers without proper registration and five for driving with no proof of insurance.
Other citations were for driving without a license and using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle.
The speed limit on Red Hawk Golf Road is 30 MPH.
The traffic enforcement operation was held from 8-9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025. LCPD will likely hold similar traffic enforcement operations in the coming weeks.
