Krampus

Las Cruces Public Libraries is hosting its second annual Krampus Recommends Movie Marathon of horror/dark comedy Christmas movies starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.

The free Krampus Recommends Movie Marathon will run from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave on Roadrunner Transit Route 1.

In honor of Santa’s scarier and more violent partner, from central European folklore, the marathon features a series of violent and dark comedy holiday movies. All movies in this series are rated Pg-13 or R for violence and language.

Movie start times are 10:30 a.m. for sorority pledges being hunted by demon worshiping frat bros during Christmas break, 12:15 p.m. for a movie about Krampus himself, 2 p.m. for a comedy about a con artist Santa, and 3:45 p.m. for a thief who takes a dysfunctional family hostage and ends up acting as a referee.

Movie-goers are welcome to bring light snacks. For movie titles, visit the library’s online calendar of events.
