The Social Justice Reading Group selection for August is Unsettling: The El Paso Massacre, Resurgent White Nationalism, and the US-Mexico Border. Ethnographer Gilberto Rosas believes the 2019 massacre at an El Paso Walmart was a consequence of a manufactured “crisis” on the border, making the border and it's people a target for White Nationalist violence.
