A lane closure will take place on the northbound lanes of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard between Santa Minerva Avenue and Central Avenue from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26.

Residents near N. Melendres Street (W. Picacho Avenue to W. Mountain Avenue) will experience a water outage from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday March 31 and Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Residents on Arabela Drive, from Powder River Drive to the East End, and on Sand Stream Road, from Cabin Creek Avenue to the North End, will experience a water outage on Thursday, March 26, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Renegade Construction, LLC will be performing a water tie‑in as part of a Subdivision permit. Adjacent areas may also be affected, and if water on a nearby street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will provide door hanger notices at least 24 hours in advance. After service is restored, residents may notice discolored water caused by iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. A lane closure will be in effect for Eastbound Avenida de Mesilla at Valley Dr. on Tues., Dec. 30, 2025. The project is expected to be completed in two days.

Residents and businesses on Calle del Sol from Avenida Blanco to Avenida de Mesilla will experience a water outage from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025. The outage will allow Spartan Construction of NM, LLC to complete water line tie-ins as part of the Casa Linda Acres Reconstruction CIP. Adjacent areas may also be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, the contractor will post a door hanger notice at least 24 hours in advance. Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting until the water becomes clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. Las Cruces motorists are advised that Hickory Drive will be closed to northbound traffic between Avenida de Mesilla and 1500 Hickory Drive beginning Monday, September 22, 2025, through Friday, October 3, 2025. The closure is necessary for 7B Development to install a new sewer main line. Access to businesses will be maintained; however, motorists should anticipate possible delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Roadrunner Transit Route 4 will also be affected, with bus stop #6 at Walmart impacted during the project.

Mountain Ave. starting September 15, 2025, through December 30, 2025, depending on weather conditions. The hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. A detour route will be provided to detour traffic through neighboring streets; we ask that you please follow the detour signage that will be installed.
A-Mountain Construction will be working on Phase 1 in the reconstruction of the N. Melendres St. Roadway Project; installation of storm drain inlets, pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, ADA ramps, sidewalks, street lighting, and utilities including water, sewer, and gas.
The road closure will not affect the Roadrunner Transit.

Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, the contractor will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

The City of Las Cruces will close Triviz Drive at the intersection of Madrid Avenue for up to four weeks beginning Monday, August 4, 2025 to aid in the Madrid Avenue Extension reconstruction project. This closure will have several detours in place for those traveling on Triviz Drive and for those personnel conducting the work. Detour signage will be in place on Main Street, Triviz Drive, Solano Drive, Spruce Avenue, and Madrid Avenue.
The Madrid Avenue Extension reconstruction project includes the installation of a 14-inch water main at a depth of eight feet through the intersection. This work will also include the removal and disposal of existing asphalt, installation of the new water main, reworking the roadway base layers, new curb and gutter for transitions, and a new pavement section.
The full closure will allow these improvements to be completed with a reduced inconvenience to the public. Alternating lane closures would potentially add an additional four weeks to the project.
Roadrunner Transit will have an alternate route because of this closure.

Residents on the streets listed below will experience a water outage on Thursday, March 20, 2025, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Caliper Construction, Inc. will be performing a water tie-in as part of a residential development permit.
Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

The work will begin Monday March 3, 2025, to Tuesday March 4, 2025.
H&H Underground will be doing the work as part of a wire utility permit.
The shoulder work will not impact the RoadRUNNER Transit routes.
A lane shift will be in place on Hickory Drive south of Avenida de Mesilla Monday, March 3, 2025 through Wednesday, March 5, 2025, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Fibertex will be installing underground wire utilities in the vicinity.
This work will affect bus stops 6 and 28 on Roadrunner Transit Route 4.
A lane shift for westbound commuters will be in place on Three Crosses Avenue between Alameda Blvd. and Spitz St. Monday, March 3, 2025 through Friday, March 14, 2025.
The lane shift will not affect the traffic control on North Main Street. Two-way traffic on Three Crosses Avenue will be maintained at all times.
Caliper Construction, Inc. will be placing a deceleration lane as part of a commercial building permit.
Roadrunner Transit Routes or bus stops will not be affected.
Motorists who travel along Valley Drive will experience shoulder work, and a possible lane closure, Tuesday, Feb. 25, through March 7, 2025, between Rigsby Road and Avenida de Mesilla.
As part of a utility permit, Volt Incorporated will be potholing for existing underground infrastructure before boring a new underground infrastructure for Unite Private Networks.
The shoulder work will not affect Roadrunner Transit.
