Historic Preservation Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission was created by the City Council upon the adoption of the Historic Preservation Ordinance. The Historic Preservation Commission meets every third Wednesday of every month unless rescheduled due to for an observed holiday or the meeting gets rescheduled.

Planning and Zoning Commission

Please see the following item(s) to be discussed at the upcoming meeting:

  1.  Case No. 25CS0500016: A request for approval of a non-administrative replat known as Dale Bellamah Annex Replat No. 2.  The subject property is located at 1741 Calle Feliz, encompasses 0.318 ± acres and is zoned R-1a (Single-Family Medium Density).  The subdivision proposes to subdivide one (1) existing residential lot into two (2) new residential lots that are 0.1553 ± and 0.1631 ± acres in size.  Submitted by Borderland Engineers and Surveyors LLC, representatives. Council District 3.
  2. Case No. 25CS0500011: A request for approval of a non-administrative replat known as College Subdivision No. 2 Replat of Part of Tract 9.  The subject property is located at 1600 E Boutz Road, encompasses 0.25 ± acres and is zoned R-1a (Single-Family Medium Density).  The subdivision proposes to subdivide one (1) existing residential lot into two (2) new residential lots that are 0.12 ± and 0.13 ± acres in size.  Submitted by Borderland Engineers and Surveyors LLC, representatives. Council District 3.
  3. Case 24CS0500088: An application of Souder Miller and Associates on behalf of the property owner, Sierra Norte Development Inc., to amend the Sonoma Ranch Master Plan, known as Sonoma Ranch Master Plan Amendment No. 4. The amendment will modify planning parcel boundaries, and the location of certain land uses which include single-family, commercial, office, multi-family, open space recreation, and flood control. The property is located on the east side of Sonoma Ranch Blvd., south of its intersection with Northrise Drive. Council District 6.
  4. Case 24ZO0500089: An application of Souder Miller and Associates on behalf of the property owner, Sierra Norte Development Inc., to rezone 5.75 acres of an undeveloped and vacant out of the remaining 25.09 acres to correspond with the Sonoma Ranch Master Plan Amendment No. 4. The proposed zone changes are as follows: Account ID #R1910911: Parcel 6: 0.99 acres for R-1a (Single-Family Medium Density) / R-1b (Single-Family High Density); Parcel 10: 2 acres for FC (Flood Control) / OS-R (Open Space-Recreation); Parcel 17: 2.76 acres for C-2 (Commercial Medium Intensity) / O-2 (Office Professional – Limited Retail Service) / R-3 (Multi-Dwelling Medium Density). The proposed zone changes are located on the east side of Sonoma Ranch Blvd., south of its intersection with Northrise Drive. Council District 6.
  5. Case 25CS0500002: Thurston Tracts, Replat No.1: A request for approval of a non-administrative replat known as Thurston Tracts, Replat No.1 for property located at the northwest corner of McGuffey Street and Bataan Memorial West that encompasses approximately 28.6 acres in size and is zoned R-2 (Multi-Dwelling Low Density), C-3 (Commercial High Intensity), and M-1/M-2 (Industrial Standard). The subdivision is proposing to replat two (2) existing tracts of land into five (5) new lots ranging from 2.6 acres to 7.6 acres in size. Submitted by Surveying and Mapping, LLC., representative.  Council District 5.

The Planning and Zoning Commission is created by the City Council with the adoption of the Zoning Code.  The Planning and Zoning Commission shall review the planning, zoning and platting of the City.  The Planning and Zoning Commission meets every fourth Tuesday of every month unless rescheduled due to a holiday, or at the request of the Commission.
