    One in four individuals have a sensory need or an invisible disability.   These are individuals with PTSD, autism, dementia, strokes just to name a few.   Our Las Cruces Museums have backpacks available at all of our front desks that can be checked out to help patrons with sensory needs.

    The fourth featured group in our twelve-week focused exhibit run is the Piro-Manso-Tiwa Indian Tribe, whose exhibit will be displayed from July 18 to October 10, 2026. The Piro-Manso-Tiwa Indian Tribe (PMT) has a long history in the Borderland region, arriving in 1680 after the Spanish forced numerous Indigenous groups south after the Pueblo Revolt.
