I received a phone call from Ms. Diana Blum today. She wanted to express her gratitude and give a compliment to Kitt Kleiner in Parks and Rec. Ms. Blum recently lost her husband and was calling to find out how to get his name added to the wall at Veterans Memorial Park. Kitt apologized for being new to the position and not knowing the answer right away but took her number and said they would call her back with the answer. Ms. Blum appreciated that Kitt took the initiative to find out the answer and to call her back rather than transfer her around to different people.
Ms. Blum also mentioned that she broke down in tears on the phone when talking about her recently passed husband and that Kitt was very professional and comforting to her on the phone. She was very pleased with the interaction and wanted to call and pass this along to Kitt’s supervisor.
Handling a call like Ms. Blum’s requires a special level of empathy and professionalism, and Kitt delivered exactly that!
