Queens of Las Cruces – Call for Information

Call for Stories, Pictures, and Objects

Did you or a family member attend or work at Grandview Elementary School in Las Cruces, New Mexico from the mid 1940s to 1962? Did you attend a Grandview Elementary May Festival? If so, we would love your input on an upcoming exhibit!

We are seeking photographs, crowns, gowns, programs, and any other memorabilia associated with the Grandview Elementary May Festivals held from around 1948 to 1962. In our search, we would like to include stories from former students, staff, and community members who may have attended these events.

We are also seeking information about Mrs. Corinne Woodson Bradley, the principal of the school and founder of the Grandview May Festival, for whom the school was renamed after the 1962 festival. Testimonials and memorabilia of the queens and princesses of the various years of festivals would also be amazing.

If you have any images, items, or stories about the Grandview May Festivals, please click the link here to fill out our survey. PLEASE NOTE: By filling out the survey, you consent to the potential use of your words, images, or items if they are selected by our jury to appear in the exhibit. We will be in contact with you via the email you enter if anything you provide is to be used.
