Las Cruces Public Schools Social Emotional Learning Programs
Las Cruces Public Schools was allocated $365,00 for social emotional learning programs. LCPS provides social emotional learning programs to mitigate drug use among youth by equipping them with the emotional intelligence, coping skills, and decision making abilities needed to navigate life’s challenges without resorting to harmful substances.
The City desires to use opioid settlement funding to financially support LCPS SEL programs in furtherance of the drug use prevention benefits that they provide to LCPS students, and through their success, to the broader community.
Qualifying expenses include costs directly related to the procurement of SEL programming including Second Step and Suite 360 curricula, for implementation at LCPS elementary, middle, and high schools.
