Get outside this fall with Las Cruces Parks and Recreation! Join us for a series of guided hikes at trails throughout the Las Cruces area.
Hikes will be offered on Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m., giving participants more opportunities to enjoy local trails and stay active throughout the season.

| Thursday, Oct. 15 | Picacho Peak Mountain Trail | 1.5 miles | Participants will meet at the Picacho Peak trailhead parking lot. From Interstate 10, take Exit 135 toward W. Picacho Avenue/Highway 70 East and travel east approximately 2.5 miles. Turn north onto Picacho Hills Drive and continue to Barcelona Ridge Road. After approximately one mile, turn north onto Anthem Road. Follow Anthem Road to its end, then turn north onto the unpaved Loop Road. Continue approximately 1.5 miles to the trailhead parking lot. |

| Thursday, Nov. 19 | Filmore Canyon Trail | 2.1 miles | Participants will meet near the Dripping Springs Natural Area. From the junction of Interstate 10 and Interstate 25, travel north on I-25 approximately one mile to the University Avenue exit. Turn east onto University Avenue, which becomes Dripping Springs Road. Continue approximately five miles until the pavement ends, then continue another 2.5 miles toward the junction of Dripping Springs Road and Baylor Canyon Road. |

From the junction of Interstate 10 and Interstate 25, travel north on I-25 approximately one mile to the University Avenue exit. Turn east onto University Avenue, which becomes Dripping Springs Road. Continue approximately five miles until the pavement ends, then continue another 2.5 miles toward the junction of Dripping Springs Road and Baylor Canyon Road. |
Before You Go
Participants should wear comfortable hiking shoes and clothing appropriate for outdoor conditions. Bringing water and sun protection is also recommended.
