Located in a historic Santa Fe Railroad depot, the Las Cruces Railroad Museum interprets the railroad history of Las Cruces and the impact of the railroad on southern New Mexico.

Tour Information

History and Houses – Saturday, Jul. 25, Aug. 22, and Sept. 26, at 10AM

Learn about the neighborhood that the railroad “created” and the way that happened on our “History and Houses” walking tours! Our conversation will focus on the people who designed, built, or lived in a few of the houses in the neighborhood. We will walk about 1 mile with several stops, starting at the Railroad Museum. Please bring water, sunscreen or a hat, and anything else you might want to stay comfortable. Don’t forget your walking shoes!

Masonic Cemetery Walking Tours – Saturday, Jul. 11, Aug. 8, and Sept. 12, at 9AM

Join our Railroad Museum education curator at the Masonic Cemetery for our “Masonic Cemetery Walking Tour.” Learn about cemetery design and meet some unique Las Cruces residents from the past! We will walk around the cemetery and talk while outdoors.

PLEASE NOTE that this program meets at an ALTERNATE LOCATION from the Railroad Museum, instead meeting at the Masonic Cemetery Office, 760 South Compress Road. Please bring water, sunscreen or a hat, and anything else you might want to stay comfortable. Don’t forget your walking shoes!
