Pickle Ball Courts

The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation department will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, to mark the opening of the pickleball courts at the East Mesa Public Recreation Complex located at 4582 Sonoma Springs Avenue.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the entrance to the East Mesa Public Recreation Complex. The Complex is the City’s third community-sized park and is part of the City’s 2022 General Obligation Bond question. The Complex can be easily located behind the East Mesa Public Safety Complex at 550 N. Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, by driving up the adjacent road, Camino Coyote Lane, to the intersection of Sonoma Springs Avenue.

The Parks and Recreation department’s Mobile Recreation Unit will be on site for fun family activities along with a D.J. and access to the park directly after the ceremony.

The completion of the pickleball courts is just one portion of the complex that is ready for use. Other phases of the sports complex are still under construction and will be introduced for use as they are completed.

Friday’s ribbon cutting can be viewed on the City’s YouTube Channel.

For more information, please call the Parks & Recreation Department at (575) 541-2550.
