Las Cruces Police are investigating an incident involving a local couple who were found deceased in their home on the 4000 Block of Gila Trail at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Evidence suggests the incident was a murder-suicide.
The male suspect, Dennis Wyatts, was 77 and the female victim, Renate Wyatts, was 83.
Police did confirm each succumbed to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.
The incident is still under investigation.
