Sunglasses, popcorn, and a VHS tape

Las Cruces Public Libraries will be showing a free movie just before Halloween that offers a few scares for adults and kids.

The movie will show at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave. on Roadrunner Transit Route 1.

This Tim Burton directed movie from 1988 stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keeton and Winona Ryder. The 92-minute long movie is rated PG. Viewers are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Food trucks will be in the parking lot prior to the start of the movie.

The library closes at 6 p.m. and doors will be locked to entry at 6:15 p.m. Movie-goers should plan on arriving early and being inside before 6:15 p.m.

The library’s online calendar for movie title and other details can be seen online.

For more information, contact Deanna Duffy, Librarian, at (575) 528-4005 or by email at [email protected].

Attendants who require accommodations for a disability should call the library at (575) 528-4102 at least 48 hours in advance.
