Today’s work includes:

• Fischer Rd & N Valley (underground – hardscape restoration)
• Embassy Dr & Hoagland Rd (underground – hardscape restoration)

There will be shoulder work in effect on July 14, 2026, at Hoagland Rd. Westbound Lane and Eastbound Lane. The shoulder work will be in effect for the entire duration of the project. This project is expected to be completed on July 23, 2026.

Ramirez Concrete LLC will be installing a new sidewalk along Hoagland rd.

The shoulder work will affect bus stop #29 on Roadrunner Transit Route #6.

The Frank O’ Brien Parking Lot at 304 Bell Ave., will undergo pothole repairs on Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and will be closed.

Work will take place from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It will be reponed on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. 

Those who park in the lot will be asked to seek alternate parking during this time.

As part of the 2025-2026 Pavement Replacement Project, several city streets will experience intermittent lane closures from Wednesday, July 8, 2026, until approximately Friday, July 10, 2026.

The streets include:

· Desert Bloom Drive: From Elks Drive to Desert Candle Drive.
· Desert Candle Drive: From Elks Drive to west end.
· Desert Lily Drive: From Desert Lily Drive to Desert Candle Drive.
· Desert Pinon Place: From Desert Bloom Drive to Desert Candle Drive.

For the public’s convenience, crews will only work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. leaving evenings free of construction activity. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signs.

Roadrunner Transit Routes or bus stops will not be affected.

Boutz Road between S. Main Street and El Paseo Road will experience intermittent lane closures beginning Monday, July 6, 2026, and continuing through Friday, July 10, 2026. Cactus Asphalt will be conducting road work as part of the 2025–2026 Micro‑Surface Project. RoadRUNNER Transit routes will be affected at various times, including bus stops 6 and 7 on Route 6 and stops 30 and 31 on Route 7. Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained, and motorists are urged to follow all posted signs. This work is being completed within City Council Districts 2 and 3, and the City has confirmed that no conflicting construction projects will occur during this period.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience a lane closure with a lane drop for the north bound traffic on Seventeenth Street from W. Hadley Avenue to 400 feet south of Copper Loop starting on July 1, 2026, and completing by July 10th.

A utility contractor will be installing underground infrastructure for CONTERRA Fiber as part of a utility permit.

This work will not affect the Roadrunner Transit.

New traffic calming devices will be placed on Sedona Hills Parkway as part of the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. Installation of two sets of temporary speed cushions will begin Monday, July 6, 2026, and is expected to take a week to complete the work.

The construction will take place on Sedona Hills Parkway between the west end of Saddle Rock Road and Fire Mountain Lane. Additional signs along Sedona Hills Parkway and Saddle Rock Road will be installed in conjunction with the construction of the traffic calming devices. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Motorists are asked to use caution through this area or use alternatives routes to avoid possible delays as the construction may have intermittent lane closures that will affect traffic along Sedona Hills Parkway. RoadRUNNER Transit routes will not be affected.

Northbound Sonoma Ranch Blvd. between Rinconada Boulevard and Cross Creek Road will be closed to traffic starting Tuesday June 30, 2026, through Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Smith and Aguirre Construction will be installing a sanitary sewer main in the vicinity.

The closure will affect bus stops 14 and 15 on Roadrunner Transit Route 3. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs.

Seventeenth St. will have shoulder work between W. Hadley Ave. and 1800 Copper Loop from June 24 to July 8, 2026.

A utility contractor will be installing underground infrastructure for CONTERRA Fiber as part of a utility permit.

This work will not affect the Roadrunner Transit.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience lane closures on N. Valley Drive. on the outside lane for the south bound traffic 100 feet north of the intersection of N. Valley Drive and Hoagland Road. This work is scheduled for June 25, 2026.

A wire utility contractor will be installing underground infrastructure for CONTERRA Fiber as part of a utility permit.

The lane closure will not affect the Roadrunner Transit. Access to the school and businesses will be maintained during the construction.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience after-hours work at 2001 Bataan Memorial West starting June 22, 2026, through June 25. The working hours are 9 PM to 6 AM.

A utility contractor will be installing a new sewer system for a new development north of Circle K.

After-hours’ work will not affect Roadrunner Transit. This work is being done in Council District #5. Access to residents will be maintained during the construction.

The business located at 1050 West Amador Avenue in Las Cruces will experience a water outage between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026.

R & R Construction will be doing a water tie-in as part of a Right-of-Way permit.

Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their house for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the City at 575/526-0500 for assistance. The TTY phone number is 575/541-2182.

As part of the 2025-2026 Crack Seal Project, N Valley Drive: From Brown to Avenida de Mesilla, will experience intermittent lane closures on Monday June 22, 2026, until approximately Friday June 26, 2026. The intermittent lane closure will impact southbound bus stops 5 and northbound bus stops 29, and 30 on Roadrunner Transit route 4. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signs.

A lane closure will take place on the northbound lanes of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard between Santa Minerva Avenue and Central Avenue from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26.

Renegade Construction will be doing utility and concrete work in the roadway as part of the Fire Station #9 project.

The work will not affect any Roadrunner Transit Routes or bus stops.

As part of the 2025-2026 Crack Seal Project, the following street will experience intermittent lane closures on Monday June 8, 2026, until approximately Friday June 12, 2026.

• N Valley Drive: From W. Amador Ave. to Avenida de Mesilla. 

The intermittent lane closure will impact southbound bus stops 3, 4, 5 and northbound bus stops 29, 30 and 31 on Roadrunner Transit route 4. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signs. This project is in city council district 4.

There will be a lane closure for sidewalk repair in effect Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 4441 E. Lohman Ave., Westbound Lane. The shoulder work will be in effect for the entire duration of the project. This project is expected to be completed on June 22, 2026.

The City of Las Cruces Road Maintenance crew will be repairing the sidewalk along E. Lohman Ave.

This work is to be done in Council District #6. The lane closure will affect bus stop #23 on Roadrunner Transit Route #2.

City of Las Cruces maintained Parking Lot 3 will undergo crack seal treatment Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Parking Lot 3 is located at 301 N. Church Street and is at the intersection of Las Cruces Avenues and Church Street.

Public Works will be closing Parking Lot 3 for the treatment and will reopen it on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Those who park in the lot will be asked to seek alternate parking during this time.

Westbound commuters on Lohman Avenue between Walnut St. and Del Monte St will experience lane closures on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

H & H Underground will be placing underground utilities as part of a wire utility permit.

The work will not affect any Roadrunner Transit Routes or bus stops. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs.

There will be an intermittent lane closure and shoulder work in effect Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Nacho Dr. Northbound Lane; the shoulder work will be in effect for the entire duration of the project. This project is expected to be completed on May 20, 2026.

Beginning on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, an intermittent lane closure will take place on Sonoma Ranch Blvd. between Bella Sierra Drive and La Purisima Drive. This project is in the city council district 6. A work crew will be performing restoration on the roadway and landscaping for these locations. The intermittent lane closure will affect only Roadrunner Transit Route 2; no bus stops will be affected. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs.

· Samaritan Dr. for the south bound traffic between Heart Ave. and Mercy St. Access to the hospital will be provided.
· Samaritan Dr. at the intersection of Mercy St. North bound traffic will not be affected. Mercy St., traffic will only be able to make right turns on to Samaritan Dr.

Work crew will be installing a water line to the median.

Las Cruces motorists will continue to experience shoulder work on Don Buck Dr. (District 6). This work will begin and be completed by April 10, 2026. SA Connects will be installing underground infrastructure for Metronet Fiber as part of a utility permit. Roadrunner Transit service will not be affected, and access to residents will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to follow all posted signs when traveling near the work zone.

Shoulder Work will take place on Hoagland Road and Alameda Boulevard beginning Wednesday April 1, and continuing through Wednesday April 15, 2026.

A-Mountain Professional Construction, LLC will be connecting a new water line and relocating water services.

Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Residents on Arabela Drive, from Powder River Drive to the East End, and on Sand Stream Road, from Cabin Creek Avenue to the North End, will experience a water outage on Thursday, March 26, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Renegade Construction, LLC will be performing a water tie‑in as part of a Subdivision permit. Adjacent areas may also be affected, and if water on a nearby street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will provide door hanger notices at least 24 hours in advance. After service is restored, residents may notice discolored water caused by iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. While the water remains safe to drink, the City recommends waiting until the water clears before washing laundry. This project is located in City Council District No. 5. Residents and businesses on Calle del Sol from Avenida Blanco to Avenida de Mesilla will experience a water outage from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025. The outage will allow Spartan Construction of NM, LLC to complete water line tie-ins as part of the Casa Linda Acres Reconstruction CIP. Adjacent areas may also be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, the contractor will post a door hanger notice at least 24 hours in advance. Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting until the water becomes clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. Las Cruces motorists are advised that intermittent lane closures will be in place on South Triviz Drive between Wisconsin Avenue and approximately 750 feet north of S. Triviz Drive beginning Wednesday, September 17, 2025, through Friday, September 26, 2025. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, as part of a wire utility permit. Evenings and weekends will remain free from construction activity. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are urged to anticipate delays, reduce speed near the work zone, and follow all posted signs. Roadrunner Transit Route 8 and nearby bus stops may be temporarily impacted during this work.

Las Cruces motorists are advised that shoulder work will take place on Copper Loop, between Brass Way and 1903 Copper Loop, beginning Thursday, September 18, 2025, through Friday, September 19, 2025. Stedywire will be completing the work as part of a wire utility permit. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained during the project, though Roadrunner Transit Route 5 may be impacted. This work is being completed in City Council District #4.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience a road closure for N. Melendres St. The closure will take place between W. Hadley Ave. and W. Mountain Ave. starting September 15, 2025, through December 30, 2025, depending on weather conditions. The hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  A detour route will be provided to detour traffic through neighboring streets; we ask that you please follow the detour signage that will be installed.

A-Mountain Construction will be working on Phase 1 in the reconstruction of the N. Melendres St. Roadway Project; installation of storm drain inlets, pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, ADA ramps, sidewalks, street lighting, and utilities including water, sewer, and gas.

The road closure will not affect the Roadrunner Transit.

This work is being done in Council District # 4.

Northbound commuters on Solano Drive between E. Court Ave. and Augustine Ave. will be subject to intermittent lane closures on the following dates:

• Monday, September 15, 2025, to Friday, September 19, 2025
• Monday, September 22, 2025, to Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

H & H Underground will be placing underground utilities as part of a wire utility permit.

The work will affect bus stop #23 on Roadrunner Transit Route 8. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs.

This work is being done in City Council District 1.

Streets Management will be applying chip seal surface treatment on various city streets beginning on Monday, September 15, 2025, through Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with expected completion in two (2) days. Residents and businesses will be notified 24 hours prior to work beginning.

 Streets to be affected include: 

• Espina St. from Hadley Ave. to Virginia St. Work will take place in City Council District # 1.
• Mountain Ave. from Solano Dr. to Tornillo St. Work will take place in City Council District # 1.
• Augustine Ave. from Solano Dr. from Manzanita St. Work will take place in City Council District # 1.
• Lucero Ave. from Almendra St. to Tornillo St. Work will take place in City Council District # 1.

For the public’s convenience, crews will work from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday, September 15, 2025, through Tuesday September 16, 2025, Access to residences and businesses will be maintained with periodic closures during the construction period. Roadrunner Transit routes will not be affected. The city has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in the immediate area during this time.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience a right lane closure on Missouri Ave between 2452 Missouri Ave. and S. Don Roser Dr. starting September 15 through September 23, 2025.

 SA Connects will be installing underground infrastructure for Vexus Fiber as part of a utility permit.

 The shoulder work will not affect the Roadrunner Transit. This work is being done in Council District #2 & 3. Access to residents will be maintained during the construction.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience lane closures on W. Lohman Ave. between S. Water St. and S. Main St. starting September 11 through September 12, 2025. The right turn lane onto S. Main St. will be closed and the fair left lane will be closed.

A&J Drilling will be installing underground utilities in the area. Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project, and Roadrunner Transit routes will not be affected. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signs and drive cautiously through the work zone.

Las Cruces motorists are advised that South Valley Drive will experience a right turn lane closure on Monday, September 8, 2025, for one day. This closure will occur between Enterprise, 1340 S. Valley Drive, and Hickory Drive to allow J & E Utilities Service LLC to install a new water main underground by drilling beneath the roadway, minimizing disruption to traffic.

In addition to the one-day lane closure, shoulder work will take place at two locations on South Valley Drive from September 8 through September 19, 2025. The locations include S. Valley Drive between Enterprise, 1340 S. Valley Drive, and Hickory Drive, and S. Valley Drive between Rigsby Road and Mountain View, 1455 S. Valley Drive.

Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to follow all posted signs, anticipate possible delays, and consider alternate routes. The signal at the intersection of Motel Boulevard and Tashiro Drive is undergoing work that began on Monday, August 25, 2025.
There will be intermittent lane closures that will take place during the project that is expected to last for approximately 4 weeks until September 19, 2025.

Access to residences and businesses will be maintained during the construction. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signs and seek alternative routes to avoid possible delays. The work and lane closures will not affect Roadrunner Transit.

Las Cruces motorists are advised that Dunn Drive will be experiencing a road closure from Reynolds Drive to Aldrich Road on Monday August 25, 2025, Caliper Construction will be doing work as part of the City of Las Cruces East Mesa Roads and Drainage. The road closure will last approximately two (2) days. Detours and signage will be present directing traffic around the work zone.

Las Cruces motorists are advised that southbound Hickory Drive, south of Avenida de Mesilla, has been re-opened to traffic and northbound Hickory Drive is temporarily closed.  It is anticipated that Renegade Construction, as part of a new private development, will have the roadway improvements completed within two (2) weeks.
