New traffic calming devices will be placed on Sedona Hills Parkway as part of the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. Installation of two sets of temporary speed cushions will begin Monday, July 6, 2026, and is expected to take a week to complete the work.
The construction will take place on Sedona Hills Parkway between the west end of Saddle Rock Road and Fire Mountain Lane. Additional signs along Sedona Hills Parkway and Saddle Rock Road will be installed in conjunction with the construction of the traffic calming devices. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Motorists are asked to use caution through this area or use alternatives routes to avoid possible delays as the construction may have intermittent lane closures that will affect traffic along Sedona Hills Parkway. RoadRUNNER Transit routes will not be affected.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience after-hours work at 2001 Bataan Memorial West starting June 22, 2026, through June 25. The working hours are 9 PM to 6 AM.
A utility contractor will be installing a new sewer system for a new development north of Circle K.
After-hours’ work will not affect Roadrunner Transit. This work is being done in Council District #5. Access to residents will be maintained during the construction.
The business located at 1050 West Amador Avenue in Las Cruces will experience a water outage between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Residents and businesses on Calle del Sol from Avenida Blanco to Avenida de Mesilla will experience a water outage from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025. The outage will allow Spartan Construction of NM, LLC to complete water line tie-ins as part of the Casa Linda Acres Reconstruction CIP. Adjacent areas may also be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, the contractor will post a door hanger notice at least 24 hours in advance. Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting until the water becomes clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no construction during evenings or weekends. Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to follow all posted signs and drive with caution in the area.

Beginning Monday, November 10, 2025, Dunn Drive will undergo a lane shift between Aztec Drive and Shannon Road as part of the City of Las Cruces East Mesa Roads and Drainage project. The work, performed by Caliper Construction, is expected to last approximately one week. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
Detours and signage will be in place to help guide motorists safely around the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid potential delays. This project is located in Council District 6.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience a lane closure for the north bound traffic with a shifted lane on S. Locust St. between Wisconsin Ave. and Wyoming Ave. starting November 10, 2025, through November 14.

The City of Las Cruces will close Triviz Drive at the intersection of Madrid Avenue for up to four weeks beginning Monday, August 4, 2025 to aid in the Madrid Avenue Extension reconstruction project. This closure will have several detours in place for those traveling on Triviz Drive and for those personnel conducting the work. Detour signage will be in place on Main Street, Triviz Drive, Solano Drive, Spruce Avenue, and Madrid Avenue.
The Madrid Avenue Extension reconstruction project includes the installation of a 14-inch water main at a depth of eight feet through the intersection. This work will also include the removal and disposal of existing asphalt, installation of the new water main, reworking the roadway base layers, new curb and gutter for transitions, and a new pavement section.
The full closure will allow these improvements to be completed with a reduced inconvenience to the public. Alternating lane closures would potentially add an additional four weeks to the project.
Roadrunner Transit will have an alternate route because of this closure.

Water Outage on Powder River Dr., Arabela Dr., and Big Springs St.
Residents on the streets listed below will experience a water outage on Thursday, March 20, 2025, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Caliper Construction, Inc. will be performing a water tie-in as part of a residential development permit.
Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

Mesa Grande Drive will experience intermittent lane closures near the intersection at Mesa Grande Drive and Bataan Memorial West starting Thursday March 13, 2025. G. Sandoval Construction will be doing work as part of the City of Las Cruces City Bond Median Landscape Ph.2 project. The intermittent lane closure will last approximately one month. Detours and signage will be present directing traffic around the work zone.

There will be a lane closure in effect Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, for southbound Elks Dr. from Devendale Ave. to Avondale Dr. The project is expected to be completed in one day.

Solano Drive will continue to experience a road closure due to the testing for the new water main before it can be connected to the existing water system. Work will continue through March 14, 2025.

Las Cruces Motorists will experience continued shoulder work on Valley Drive from Boutz Road to Rigsby Road Monday, March 3, 2025 through March 7, 2025.
Volt Incorporated will be potholing for existing underground infrastructure before boring a new underground infrastructure for Unite Private Networks as part of a utility permit.
The shoulder work will affect the RoadRUNNER Transit route 7 bus stop 35.
An intermittent lane closure will continue Monday March 3, 2025, until March 19, 2025, near Via del Villa and the intersection of Parkhill Drive and Torreon Road.
Renegade Construction will be doing the work as part of a subdivision permit.

This work will affect bus stops 6 and 28 on Roadrunner Transit Route 4.
A lane shift for westbound commuters will be in place on Three Crosses Avenue between Alameda Blvd. and Spitz St. Monday, March 3, 2025 through Friday, March 14, 2025.
The lane shift will not affect the traffic control on North Main Street. Two-way traffic on Three Crosses Avenue will be maintained at all times.
