On October 24, 2024, Risk Management was contacted about installing a new meter at a local business. The Meters Valves and Hydrant crew replaced the meter and discovered that the 3-inch main water line on the customers side was rusted, and leaking. Jacob Cabrales advised the business owner that the leak was only going to get worse. The Meters Valves and Hydrant crew, Mike Lara, Donnail Bailey, Nicholas Rhodes, Eloy Gonzales, Aaremy Palomares, Robert Meraz, Roberto Calderon and Jhonathan Corchado went above and beyond taking time to replace the damaged main water line.
Jacob Cabrales and his crew are a credit to the Meters Valves and Hydrants department and to the City of Las Cruces. The business owner contacted the Risk Management department wanting to thank the MVH crew. Not pictured are Mr. Palomares and Mr. Meraz.
