Statement: I am currently a BFA undergrad student at NMSU. This work was made during my time in NMSU, I was focusing on the topic of ‘place’ when I created it. This oil painting along with a couple others served to show Las Cruces, the sights, people, plants, architecture and all the different paths I see around it. The bold colors were chosen to give a viewer a feel of the heat we feel here, and the bright light that comes with it.
Art Stop Bus Shelter Public Art Exhibit was created by the City Art Board for the purpose of making art more accessible to community members and enhancing the everyday experience of our public spaces.
