Moonlight is a quarterly program hosted by the Museums on Main Street. Adults 21+, with a valid ID, are invited to visit our Museums on Main Street while enjoying an adult beverage.

Location:
Enter at the Museum of Nature & Science Entrance on Main Street! You then have access to all three Main Street Museums–the Museum of Nature & Science, Museum of Art, and Branigan Cultural Center.
Adult Beverages and Food:
Adult beverages and food from food trucks can be purchased on the premises throughout the night. No outside food or drink is allowed.
Water and light snacks are provided for free inside the Museums.
Signature Drink: The Moonlight Margarita! A delicious blueberry margarita crafted specifically for Moonlight by Dry Point Distillers.

Saturday, May 31, 2025 – Automobiles and Agave
Do you love cool cars? What about tequila drinks? If so we have the perfect night planned for May 31, with “Moonlight: Automobiles and Agave” themed around the upcoming Luster: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Painting exhibit at the Museum of Art and Aliento a Tequila exhibit at the Branigan Cultural Center. You won’t want to miss this awesome night out!
For the first time ever at Moonlight, we will be offering an additional program during the program! While Moonlight is completely FREE to enter for anyone with a 21+ Government Issued ID, there will be an optional $10 ticketed Agave Tasting through the purchase of a ticket from the Foundation for Las Cruces Museums. Tickets for this tasting may be pre-purchased starting in mid-April from the Foundation’s website as well as the night of the Moonlight program in the Atrium area at the Museum of Nature and Science until 8pm. The tasting will take place in the Branigan Cultural Center at the front desk from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Paying participants can drop in anytime between 6:30pm and 8:30pm and will get to taste a variety of agave based liquors as well as agave syrup and will get a commemorative shot glass at the end of their tasting! Agave tasting tickets are limited, so pre-purchases are highly encouraged.

There will be a cash bar on premises and Abuelos Casita food truck in our gated courtyard for the evening as well as complimentary refreshments.

Friday, July 11, 2025 – Summer Social
Summertime fun doesn’t just have to happen in the sun! Come to the “Moonlight: Summer Social” to have a swell night on the town. Live music, food trucks, and a cash bar provided by Dry Point Distillers means you’ll be strolling through our exhibits in style!
As always, entry to the Museums for this program is FREE and will only be possible through our Museum of Nature & Science Atrium entry on North Main Street for the evening and this event is open only to adults ages 21+ with a valid Government Issued ID required. There will be a cash bar from Dry Point on premises as well as the Green Chile Paddy Wagon food truck and non-alcoholic drinks from Francy Emilade in our gated courtyard for the evening. There will also be some complimentary refreshments inside the museums.
