A Library card application can be filled out online by clicking here. For more information or to renew your existing library card, contact the Circulation department at 575-528-4000 or library.circulation@lascruces.gov.
With your library card you can borrow books, movies, audiobooks, and more. To have a library card issued, adults must present a government issued photo ID along with proof of current address in Dona Ana County. For children and teens 15 years and under, a library card will only be issued with a parent or legal guardian present to sign the child’s application for a card. Individuals living outside the County with a valid card from their New Mexico community library, are also eligible and may apply for a library card from Las Cruces Public Libraries.
Responsibility of Cardholders
Cardholders are responsible for any materials checked out on their library card. Failure to return library materials is a serious matter and can result in library privileges being suspended or referral to a collection agency.
Fees
A $5 fee is charged for replacement cards. Please inform the library staff if a card is lost or stolen or if an address or telephone number has changed.
Materials that have a waiting list will not be eligible for renewals.
