La Buena Vida Park

Local artists for the La Buena Vida Park Public Art project will be presenting their design concepts to the Quality of Life/Las Cruces Public Art Selection Committee beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at City Hall, 700 N. Main St., Conference Room 2007-A. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend presentations.

Artists were tasked with designing an art concept proposal for a site-specific outdoor art piece to beautify the park located at 3000 Buena Vida Circle. The neighborhood park features a picnic pavilion and walking trails through a natural landscape.

Each presentation is allocated 30 minutes per artist; presentations are currently scheduled as follows:

The selected design will be presented to the City Art Board at their next public meeting on December 12, 2024, and to the Las Cruces City Council at a future Council Meeting for final approval.
