DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE

The United States Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program seeks to ensure non-discrimination in the award and administration of USDOT-assisted contracts in the Department’s highway, transit, and airport financial assistance programs and to create a level playing field on which DBE can compete fairly for USDOT-assisted contracts.

As a recipient of financial assistance through the USDOT Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the City of Las Cruces is committed to the DBEprogram and encourages DBE participation when RoadRUNNER Transit contracting opportunities are announced.

The City of Las Cruces’ (City) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program was created to provide a level playing field for small minority- and women-owned companies wanting to do business with the City on projects funded wholly or in part by various U.S. Department of Transportation agencies.
