Historic Preservation Committee

The Historic Preservation Committee was created by the City Council upon the adoption of the Historic Preservation Ordinance. The Historic Preservation Committee meets every third Wednesday of every month unless rescheduled due to for an observed holiday or the meeting gets rescheduled.
Planning and Zoning Commission

- Case No. 26CS0500041: A request for approval of a preliminary plat known as Tierra Hermosa Subdivision, Phase 4. The proposed subdivision encompasses approximately 29.998 acres, is zoned NH-1.S (Neighborhood-1 Suburban) and located generally south of Village Drive, east of Porter Road and north of Central Avenue. The preliminary plat proposes to subdivide three (3) existing tracts of land into 63 new residential lots and two (2) tracts of land for future right-of-way and land development. The subdivision follows the approved Tierra Hermosa Master Plan. Submitted by Carter Surveying and Mapping, representative, on behalf of Porter Road Investment Group, LLC., property owner. Council District 6.
- Case No. 26ZO3000029:A request for approval of a final site plan known as Metro West Phases 2-7 located within the Metro Verde Planned Unit Development (PUD) area. The proposed subdivision encompasses approximately 73.35 acres, is zoned PUD and is located west of Red Hawk Golf Road, east of the City of Las Cruces City Limits, and north of Elektra Avenue. The final site plan proposes 386 residential lots with five (5) tracts of land that will be dedicated to the City and utilized for drainage, a park and a walking trail. Submitted by Sierra Norte Development Inc., property owner. Council District 5.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is created by the City Council with the adoption of the Zoning Code. The Planning and Zoning Commission shall review the planning, zoning and platting of the City. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets every fourth Tuesday of every month unless rescheduled due to a holiday, or at the request of the Commission.
