The City’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering swimming lessons twice weekly Oct. 3-25 at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 East Hadley Ave., and at the Las Cruces Natatorium, 1405 E Hadley Ave.

All classes will be Thursdays and Fridays, with eight classes held each session. Classes for each division will be held for 30 minutes, except for adult classes which will be 60 minutes.

Costs for swim lessons are as follows:

  • Parent and Me: $45 per session
  • Level 1 (Pre-School and Learn to Swim): $45 per session
  • Level 2 (Pre-School and Learn to Swim): $45 per session
  • Level 3 (Pre-School and Learn to Swim): $60 per session
  • Level 4 (Learn to Swim only): $60 per session
  • Adult Swim Lessons: $60 per session

Registration will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave.

Swim lessons will run from 5-7:30 p.m. Exact times for classes will be given on the day of registration.

Participants who don’t have a Red Cross completion card must take a swim evaluation if they are seeking to register for Level 2 and above. Swim evaluations will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Friday from Sept. 24-27. No swim evaluations will be given during registration times. Class space is limited.
