Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority
The Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority was created in 1989 through a Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Las Cruces and Dona Ana County. MVRDA provides dispatch and emergency communications functions for all emergency response agencies of the City of Las Cruces, City of Sunland Park, City of Anthony, Town of Mesilla, Village of Hatch and Dona Ana County. When you call 911, MVRDA is where the call is answered and dispatched.
Utility Safety
Anyone with a utilities related emergency related to gas, water or sewer should call the Las Cruces Utilities 24-hour emergency service at 575-526-0500. Familiarize yourself with what to do if you smell gas and be prepared to take action. Las Cruces Utilities provides a list of actions to help you. If you plan to dig in an area, you are required to call 811 to get your project cleared. Go to Before You Dig for more information.
