U Can Uke for Juniors!

Group ukulele lessons in the Roadrunner Room. 7 donated ukuleles have been provided by Las Cruces Ukes for patrons to borrow, but juniors with ukuleles are welcome to join. Registration is required to use a ukulele. Chord books and song books will be provided. For ages 7 to 18 with caregivers for younger children.

Fossils! -Information from the Fossil Record

Explore the 3.5-billion-year odyssey of life with a geologist and real fossil specimens. Visit the station in the gallery and discover something new in the fossil record each month. All ages are welcome.

How a Girl and a Monster Created Chocolate

Kids and their adult caregivers will be introduced to the Mesoamerican history of the origin of chocolate. This will include a cocoa tasting. Participants will create a painting to express what they learned during the class. This program is inspired by the Flowering of Precious Knowledge exhibit and presented in English and Spanish. Registration is required. Ages: 6-12.

Artventurous: Paper Crafts

Explore a topic from a current or recent museum exhibition through a fun, family-friendly art project. This is a drop-in program, and supplies will be provided. All ages are welcome.
