“The unexamined life is not worth living.” Implement these famous words by Socrates and get together with others to discuss a deep and open-ended topic of one’s choice using the Socratic Method. Socrates Cafes were founded by author and scholar Christopher Phillips in 1996. The goal of a Socrates Café is to promote critical thinking and understanding among people as they ponder the nature of the world around them. In honor of the All Together Now Theme of the Summer Reading Program, the hope is that people will gather together and understand each other better.
